Tia Wood to Deliver Special Guest Performance at 3rd Annual Indigenous Fashion Show!

Will also headline special after party at Stir! Fashion show tickets currently on sale!

NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK: (October 3, 2025) – Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino announced another exciting addition to the 3rd Annual Indigenous Fashion Show on Saturday, November 1. Singer, songwriter and Sony Music recording artist Tia Wood will deliver a Special Guest Performance during the runway show, followed by an energizing after party.

Hailing from the Saddle Lake Cree Nation, a community of about 6,000 people in Alberta, Canada, Wood is quickly making a name for herself in the music industry mecca of Los Angeles. Her debut EP, “Pretty Red Bird,” was released last year and included the singles “Dirt Roads,” “Losing Game,” “Catch & Release,” and “Sky High.” The EP earned Wood a Juno Award nomination this year for Contemporary Indigenous Artist of the Year.

Wood’s musical journey began performing with her family, singing traditional music at powwows, community events and other gatherings. Musical talent runs throughout her family. Wood’s father, Earl Wood, co-founded the Juno Award-winning and Grammy Award-nominated powwow drum group Northern Cree. Her mother, Cynthia Jim, was in an all-women drum group, and Fawn Wood, her older sister, is a Juno Award-winning singer.

“The theme of our fashion show is ‘Where Tradition Meets Trend,’ and nobody exemplifies that more than Tia Wood,” said Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino General Manger Joanne Israel. “Tia gives a contemporary sound and voice to our traditional music that has been part of Indigenous communities and culture throughout history. She is influenced by her heritage and celebrates it in a way that moves anyone who hears her sing."

Wood’s powerful, soulful voice will be on full display when she gives a special performance during the runway show. Afterward, she will thrill the crowd with a dynamic after party at Stir, the high-energy feature bar overlooking the gaming floor at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino.

The 3rd Annual Indigenous Fashion Show will feature a stunning blend of traditional and contemporary designs, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and artistry of Indigenous fashion. This year’s runway show will showcase the designs of 11 Indigenous designers: Bitterwater for Redhouse; Bruno Henry; Cami Jones Designs; G-Gei-Sas; Homer Couture; Kreations by Kehala; Pidabinikwe; ResiliencexCarlyKoban; Shinymoon Creations; The Snipes Nest; and Tisha Thompson.

In addition, the handiwork of accessory designers Beads by Arielle, Mary Jacobs Designs, and The Urban Gaiyowah will accent the fashion selections being modeled throughout the show.

All of the original designs and stunning accessories will be modeled by 46 Indigenous male and female models from across Turtle Island. Attendees can also shop exclusive runway pieces and other handcrafted creations at a number of designer pop-up shops after the show.

The 3rd Annual Indigenous Fashion Show will be held in the Seneca Niagara Event Center starting at 6 p.m. This is a 16+ only event.
