NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK: (October 8, 2025) – Another luminary figure from the world of fashion will help light up the runway at 3rd Annual Indigenous Fashion Show at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. Show organizers announced today that Quannah Chasinghorse, one of the most accomplished and sought-after models in fashion today, will appear as a Special Guest Model during the runway show in the Seneca Niagara Event Center on Saturday, November 1.
Born in the Navajo Nation, Chasinghorse is a Han Gwich’in and Sicangu/Oglala Lakota land protector, climate justice activist, and model from Eagle Village, Alaska and the tribes of South Dakota. She has worked with top fashion houses like Chanel and Chloe, shot for international editions of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and appeared in magazines such as Elle, V Magazine, and National Geographic. She has also been a fixture at the Met Gala, attending for four years in a row. In recent years, Chasinghorse was named as Models.com’s Breakout Star in 2021 and Social Mover in 2022.
In 2022, she was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list and was nominated for Model of the Year by The Fashion Awards. In 2023, she was named one of USA Today’s Women of the Year.
Her deep connection to her homelands and her people’s way of life is Chasinghorse’s grounding and guiding force. For many years, she has exponentially increased her platform to uplift Indigenous voices, beauty, and representation on a global stage. As an activist, she understands the climate impact of the fashion industry and pushes brands to examine their sustainability initiatives. She collaborated with Golden Goose to design sustainable footwear, and also partnered with North Face for the film “Walking Two Worlds,” which debuted at the TriBeCa Film Festival in 2022 and won Best Documentary Short at the Santa Monica Film Festival that same year.
“Quannah Chasinghorse upholds the strength and beauty of Indigenous fashion, and elevates them for an international audience, while staying grounded in the values and ideals of her culture,” said Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino General Manger Joanne Israel. “Her presence on our runway, alongside all of our participating Indigenous models and designers, will signify that our fashion show is a powerful platform for Indigenous fashion and Indigenous designers everywhere."
As an added highlight, organizers announced that Prados Beauty, an Indigenous woman-owned beauty brand, is the Official Makeup Sponsor of the 3rd Annual Indigenous Fashion Show. Prados Beauty offers a full line of high-quality, ethically-made cosmetic products and tools. The brand’s products are now sold in more than 600 JCPenney locations across the United States, making Prados Beauty the first Indigenous beauty brand to retail in a mega retailer.
The 3d Annual Indigenous Fashion Show will feature a stunning blend of traditional and contemporary designs, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and artistry of Indigenous fashion. This year’s runway show will showcase the designs of 11 Indigenous designers: Bitterwater for Redhouse; Bruno Henry; Cami Jones Designs; Carly Koban; Karlene Familo; Homer Couture; Kreations by Kehala; Pidabinikwe; Shinymoon Creations; The Snipes Nest; and Tisha Thompson x K. Francisbrand.
In addition, the handiwork of accessory designers Beads by Arielle, Mary Jacobs Designs, and The Urban Gaiyowah will accent the fashion selections being modeled throughout the show.
All of the original designs and stunning accessories will be modeled by 46 Indigenous male and female models from across Turtle Island. After the show, attendees can shop exclusive runway pieces and other handcrafted creations at a number of designer pop-up shops.
The announcement of Chasinghorse as a Special Guest Model and Prados Beauty as Official Makeup Sponsor follow previously announced appearances by prominent talents Ashley Callingbull and Tia Wood.
