NIAGARA FALLS, NEW YORK: (September 10, 2026) – The 4th Annual Indigenous Fashion Show at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino will be front and center when the eyes of the fashion world are focused on New York City starting this week.
Three of the designers participating in the Seneca Niagara show will be showcasing their talents during Indigenous New York Fashion Week, the premier Indigenous-led fashion week in North America. The event is presented during New York Fashion Week, which runs from September 10-15. New York Fashion Week and Indigenous New York Fashion Week provide leading designers from around the world a global platform to showcase their designs to buyers, the fashion media, and the general public. Designers Karlene Familo of the Seneca Nation, Kehala Smith of Kreations by Kehala, from the Tuscarora Nation, and Rebekah Jarvey of the Chippewa Cree Tribe, are among the 30 Indigenous designers whose work will be featured at Indigenous New York Fashion Week. All three have presented their work on national and international runways. Familo and Smith both made their fashion show debut at the Indigenous Fashion Show at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino - Familo in 2024 and Smith in 2023.
Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino will have a significant billboard presence in Times Square to promote the 4th Annual Indigenous Fashion Show during New York Fashion Week and Indigenous Fashion Week. The video billboard will be run 12 times every hour on Broadway, between 44th and 45th. Representatives from Seneca Niagara will be in New York to help elevate the show’s profile and the platform it gives to Indigenous designers.
“We’re building a fashion show that, in just a few years, has already become a premier showcase for truly incredible Indigenous talent,” said Seneca Resorts & Casinos President & CEO Kevin Nephew. “Having a visible presence in New York during the New York Fashion Week and Indigenous New York Fashion Week events is an important step as the excitement and notoriety surrounding our show continue to grow.”
The activity and presence in New York isn’t the only major news surrounding the 4th Annual Indigenous Fashion Show at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. Show organizers announced today the award-winning Hip-Hop duo Snotty Nose Rez Kids will perform during this year’s show.
Hailing from Kitamaat Village in British Columbia, Snotty Nose Rez Kids have been taking the music world by storm with their lyrical prowess and natural storytelling ability, weaving together a musical fabric of hard-hitting lyricism, revealing stories about the struggles they and their people have endured, empowering protest songs, and humor. Snotty Nose Rez Kids made history when their most recent album, 2024’s “Red Future,” won the Juno Award for Rap Album of the Year, making them the first Indigenous artists to be so honored. The duo has toured throughout North America, the UK, Europe, the Netherlands, Mexico and Australia.
The 4th Annual Indigenous Fashion Show at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino will be a stunning blend of tradition and trend, featuring the work of 16 Indigenous designers from across North America, modeled by dozens of Indigenous models.
